How does SupportBot learn about my store?

When you install the app, SupportBot syncs your products, pages, blog posts, and store policies automatically. When you edit content in Shopify, the knowledge base updates itself — there is nothing to maintain by hand.

Will it make answers up?

SupportBot only answers from your store's actual content. When it can't find a reliable answer — or a customer asks about something like an order status it can't verify — it says so and offers to hand the conversation to you instead of guessing.

What happens when the AI can't help?

The conversation is escalated to a human: you get an email or Slack message with the full transcript and the customer's contact details, so you can follow up personally.

Can it match my brand's voice?

Yes. Paste example text or upload a PDF of your brand guidelines and SupportBot writes its answers in your tone. You also control the widget's color and position from the dashboard.

What counts as an AI reply?

One answer written by the AI in the chat widget. Limits reset monthly. If you reach your plan's limit, the widget pauses politely until the next month or an upgrade — customers never see an error.

Can I add answers that aren't published on my store?

Yes — on Growth and Pro plans you can add private knowledge notes (internal policies, seasonal info, workshop terms). The bot uses them in answers without them being public pages.

Is my data handled safely?

Every store's data is fully isolated, and SupportBot implements Shopify's GDPR webhooks: customer data requests, customer redaction, and full deletion when you uninstall. See our privacy policy for details.

Will it slow down my storefront?
